U.R.E.C. Handbag display disasters!

Above:  A  purse display project gone bad!
I have been working on ideas for U.R.E.C. handbag displays for about a month now because of all these shows I have coming up. Most of the shows only allow me one table, so I needed something I could set the U.R.E.C handbags on that wouldn't take up too much room on a table. So my idea, along with Johns input, was to get some PVC pipe, cut it down to various heights, then glue square plastic plates to both sides. The plates were from Walmart (the only place I could find contemporary  plates that were plastic) and $2 a pop; pretty affordable. Well, yes, this was an affordable project, but it didn't work out to well. The spray paint ate through the glue and all the displays fell apart as I was transporting them to the Seasonable Chic Showcase. Wait, I lied..ONE lasted! (see picture below)

Now I am on to another idea for a purse display, I'll keep you posted! Any good ideas?

  1. I don't have any ideas but target sells the square plastic plates in lots of colors too. I've bought them at our target.

  2. Oh how frustrating! Check out Urban Outfitters under Apartment: Jewelry stands, some might be sturdy enough to hold a few bags.

  3. Thanks ladies! I actually found some glass candle holders at TJ Maxx yesterday and I am going to put clear plates on top of them, kind of hard to explain, but I will be sure to snap a few pics at the shows I am doing this week :)

  6. Good idea Kelli, I was thinking about that but couldn't find a cute coat tree that I liked. I will have to check out Target. I have one from Ikea but I am not crazy about it.

  7. Yeah. A coat tree would be a better fit since it's very strong and can hold longer. And it's also very compact.
