So, our bedroom was originally a sage like green color, and we decided a neutral beige-like color would be better, so the painting began.
Once completed, we rearranged all the furniture to make it all fit in this tiny little bedroom we have. Like I mentioned in the post I did about remodeling the bathroom, they made things a lot smaller in the 1950's! (The painting below I created for our bedroom in Texas.)
There it was. The first makeover for the bedroom. But the more we thought about it, we knew the furniture didn't fit well in this bedroom and the color palette we chose was pretty well, for lack of better terms, too bland. After playing on the Ikea website, where you can actually download a free program that helps you redesign a room after plugging in the dimensions, John and I decided to remodel the bedroom once again.
Below is a picture of the START of it. We chose a slate blue color for the walls and decided to go with all white furniture. Little did we know the weekend we decided to paint, that if your walls are too cold, any type of painters tape or masking tape will not stick. Who would have known? So once it warms up a bit, we are going to do some touching up. *sigh* Spring can't come soon enough!

Yes, redecorating can be such a pain! But the finished product is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the painting that you made....very cool!
