A Good Deed of Donating Jewelry

Ever since I was selected as Cincinnati's Fashion Women of the Year, it made me think more about changing the mission of FENNOfashion to include being a more active part of the community. Included in this mission was to to donate jewelry to the teens at Childrens Hospital here in Cincinnati. When you hear the words 'Childrens Hospital', people always conger up the image of little kids, but there are teens up to the age of 18 that stay there.
Thats why I thought it would be a good idea to donate jewelry to the teens in the hospital.
I know how important it is to have a little something to brighten your day and in their situation, I feel like anything I could do would be worthwhile! I was very excited to be able to donate 50 pieces of jewelry. Not only did I feel great about being able to do this, but I know everyone at Childrens was thrilled as well.

Here's a picture of me and Donor Relations Officer, Cathy Westrich.

Cathy Westrich was thrilled to receive the donation. “No one ever seems to remember there are teenagers here undergoing treatment when they make donations.” says Ms. Westrich. “We receive a lot of toys and gifts more appropriate to children twelve and under. Dolls, Teddy bears and games like Candyland. I think that the teenagers, especially the girls, are going to be thrilled with the jewelry and we’re so thankful to Megan for thinking of us.”

And I am thankful that I was able to help!
