Yes, I am still here!

This officially has been the longest time I have taken away from blogging..but with good reason, pull up and chair and let me explain.
Part of the collection for Austin Fashion Week 2010

May was my busiest month to date and honestly, I wasn't quite prepared for it. After doing a show nearly every week for 6 weeks straight here in Cincinnati, I then turned around and flew to Austin, TX to present a fall clothing line to the founder of Austin Fashion Week. It was a great meeting and I was beside myself excited! It took a lot of work to get everything together, including getting a few sample pieces together, a look book and all the materials so when I came home, I could hit the ground running ready to get this collection rockin!

I arrived back in Cincinnati, unusually exhausted, only to find out..SURPRISE! A Baby Fenno is on the way!  That changed everything. Usually I am pretty stressed out, juggling too many projects at any given time. After thinking long and hard, I made the decision to not participate in Austin Fashion Week this year. It was a tough decision but it ended up being the best because this pregnancy has been a rough one!
On top of that, we have had a sad June here in the Fenno house, my mother-in-law passed away unexpectedly June 14th. She lived in Tallahassee, so John and I made the commute down there to take care of everything. She will be greatly missed!

I am still working on getting back into 'work mode', but having a bed downstairs from my office that calls my name all day long, it's hard to get much done. I hear the fatigue that comes with pregnancy subsides temporarily during the 2nd trimester and I hope that is the case, I have a lot to do to gear up for fall!

Thank you to everyone who emailed me concerned about where I disappeared too. It's nice to know I have so many people who read my blog and enjoy it. XO

Take care of yourself first - and yes, the fatigue will subside. Spend the time brainstorming and planning - and you'll be ready to roll to even greater heights!
