I was browsing through my emails when I came across an article about Noah Scalin, the author behind the book 365: A Daily Creativity Journal.
He made a pretty intense New Years resolution one year to make something new everyday. At first I thought that couldn't be too hard. But then I got to thinking, "What about the days when you just don't feel inspired or you don't feel good, you're out of town or are busy with other things life throws at you?" I assume it depends on what it is you decide to create everyday but, I totally admire this guy for his ambition, commitment and passion towards his craft.
In Noahs' own words.
"A daily project is like a marathon. It's a ridiculously daunting task, but making an original creation every day gives you an incredible sense of accomplishment. It also forces you to push beyond your mental and physical barriers (especially the ones you've erected for yourself). You'll be amazed at what you produce and what you learn about yourself in the process."
I would love to get peoples thoughts and feedback on this.Could you honestly make something everyday?
P.S. I looked up Noahs blog, which showcases people taking the 365 challenge. Pretty neat!

Oh man, that would be really, really hard. I'd have to set up some ground rules, otherwise I'd get to the point that I'd be saying, I made a cup of coffee today...that's good enough, right?
ReplyDeleteHa Ha, I was thinking the same thing!
ReplyDeleteGround rules would be a must for me.
