A Wedding Dress to be made...

One of my best friends from elementary school, Alyssa, asked me to be in her wedding, which is coming up in August this year. I was so excited, but I had no clue what she was about to ask me secondly to make her wedding dress for her. Of course I said yes, I was eager to take on the challenge. My only concern was that she still lives in the Cincinnati area and I, 3 or 4 states later, landed in Texas. Luckily we figured everything out and she is coming here to select the fabric with me and go trend shopping, etc.


This picture was taken at my wedding, she still looked great, even @ 6months pregnant!

When I asked her what she had in mind, she said she really liked the dress that Tara Conner, who was Miss USA in 2006 wore that was designed by Jonathan Kayne of Project Runway.
She specifically said she likes the style of the top portion of the dress, so I can come up with something similar using the dress Jonathan created as inspiration. The bottom we are still working on. I will let you know what we come up with! The wedding isn't until the end of August, so I have plenty of time to figure things out!

    No Kidding! I think it will be fun though and of course I will do whatever it takes for my good friends:)
