Fashion Week in NYC has come to an end, but what we can take from over the hundreds of runway shows, are the fabulous trends!
Here are a few of the top trends I can definitely incorporate into my wardrobe that can also be translated into everyday wear. Hip Hip Hooray!
Prints Galore! This spring is all about an explosion of prints. You can find all sorts of prints: geometric, floral, pop art, busy, bright…. And wearing these prints head to toe is what it is all about!
Sleeves are making a comeback. Forget about bare arms this year! Bare arms have been replaced with cap sleeves, billowy sleeves, rounded sleeves, structured sleeves as well as long sleeves.
Prim and Proper. Thank you Kate Middleton- who is a fashion icon around the world. I am very excited about this trend and think we can all appreciate it. Think classic, romantic and very feminine while not bearing too much.
Color blocking. This seems to be a trend that is continuing on, as we saw a lot of color blocking this past fall and winter. What is great about color blocking is that you can use it to your advantage! Hide your least favorite parts of your body with darker colors, since dark colors have a slimming effect and let the lighter colors really accentuate your best features.
Hello Pleats! Pleats have become popular in every form. The traditional pleated skirts have become more prevalent, but you may also be surprised to find pleats in just about every type of clothing in a variety of forms.
